Free Spam Blocking and Anti Virus Service for Hosting Customers
To combat the nuisance of Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE or Spam) we provide an effective spam blocking service that utilises spam black lists and spam filtering based on statistical analysis of spam content.
In trials we have found that around 85% of UCE is rejected by the black lists, those that slip through are often shortly added to the list and do not appear again. The percentage of successfully identified and blocked spam rises to 97% after processing by our spam filters.
The list of known spam sources and exploited computers used to send spam is maintained by The Spamhaus Project. More information about how the service works, including the rationale behind providing the service and a technical definition of spam, can be found on their website.
